"They call me Old Oscar! Eh-hee-hee-hee!"

Old Oscar is an old green (gray in the pilot series) biplane who acts as grandfather figure.
Bio[]
Old Oscar is a spry, crusty old biplane from a bygone era, the earliest years of aviation. In his younger age, he was a brainstorming biplane who performed stunt tricks with air circus pilots that used to tour the countryside. He had a brief stint in silent movies and air shows as a stunt plane, before he ended up in Tarrytown as one of the first planes in the EZ Airlines fleet. Like a well known grandfather, he is a great storyteller who breaks in important lessons to the kids as they find their way in the skies. He is Lina's uncle. He's voiced by Chuck Morgan in the series installment.
Old Oscar's Introduction from the PBS Kids Website[]
"Old Oscar here... the oldest biplane in Tarrytown Airport. When I was a young plane, I toured the country doin' stunts in the air circus! Then came a brief stint in silent movies, and more air shows, then EZ O'Malley brought me to Tarrytown. Nowadays, I love telling stories to these young planes who are just finding their way in the skies."
Catchphrases[]
- "Well, by golly gosh!" (standard version)
- "Well, spin my prop!" (Christian dubbing)
- "Eh-hee-hee-hee!" (both versions; his laugh)
Instrumental Signifier[]
